When dreaming up your adventure there’ll be a few questions you have and a couple of decisions to be made. And as always there is a little organising to do on the way to paradise. So we hope the following will help you along the way.

Charter  Vs  Join A Group

Be it a charter or a Join-a-group everything is catered for. We take along a maximum of 12 good people at a time, who can move into 5 cabins with ensuite bathrooms whilst M.V. Flightless is home.
All meals and hot drinks are supplied and we're happy to cater to any dietary requirements. We supply a variety of fishing rods and tackle, wetsuits, fins, masks, snorkels, gloves, booties, weight belts, cylinders, BCDs, kayaks, paddle boards, yoga mats, bedding, beanbags, floats and floatlines, sodastream machine, a commercial ice maker and we even share our sunscreen...  So the only things to bring are some clothes (we do have a washing machine and dryer on board), any treats or alcohol you may want to indulge in and of course a sense of adventure.

Getting Here

M.V. Flightless is based in the coastal waters of Fiordland and Stewart Island beyond the Southern Alps of New Zealand. But in order to start your adventure you’ll have to get there first. The quaint township of Te Anau (Fiordland) or Bluff (Stewart Island) is where it all starts. If you are on a Join-a-group we’ll have everything organised for you from here.

In general all clients fly into their playground by helicopter to maximise their playtime and we'll happily organise that for you as we have a little practise and can secure good rates.

So if you charter the whole boat simply make sure you find your way to the Manapouri Airport (Fiordland Adventures) or Bluff (Stewart Island Adventures) the day of your departure and we'll set off on our adventure from there.

Prices

All prices include crew, catering (exclusive of alcohol), bedding and the use of all recreational equipment onboard.

From $10,000 per 24h period for up to 12 passengers (i.e. $833pp/24h) if you book five nights or more. Shorter adventures are quoted on an individual basis. Please get in touch to chat about how to make YOUR adventure happen.

There is no schedule or set itinerary as every charter is as different as the people on board. So getting in touch with us is where any booking starts.

If you have already been on a trip with us and know exactly what you want, give us a call, drop by for a coffee or write us an email. We’ll check if your desired dates are available.  Otherwise all you need is an idea of when and how long you’d like to be on board for. Simply get in touch and from there we can work on the details of transfers, timings and memories to create along the way.
